Gane necklace

I made this about a month ago, but I thought I would share ( you know me and taking pictures...)

This is polymer clay, mokume gane technique, finished with brass components.

Oh and its reversible, the back is a black swirl texture and looks good as well :)

Wirework necklace and earrings

Photobucket

This was the "challenge" for the Brisbane beading meet and was from a tutorial in last years Art jewelry Mag - " mastering wirework".

I love the pieces, but think I need a bit more practice on keeping it perfect!!! LOL

Isis

These are my new "Isis" Necklace's

Made of cube beads, seed beads, gemstones and czech glass, stitched mostly in herringbone.

These will be a class at Mad Monnies very soon !!

Another fishy

I made this one a while back but was never happy with the clasp I made - I changed it this weekend to a brass one that I made myself - so it would look a bit like a fish hook...

This is a lovely bright bracelet made with seed beads and Czech crystals and a beautiful handmade bead by Debbie does Beads , using peyote and brick stitch. I have made some earrings as well but forgot to photograph them of course LOL

I've been featured on Voila!

So excited!!!

Just received a newsletter from Voila and saw my "the eyes have it" literally staring back at me:)

I love her commentary as well -

"The Eyes Have It"

by Sandee Harris, Australia

Jewellery is meant to be looked at; contemplated, admired. When jewellery stares back at you, interrogates you, you can't help but feel the table turning … “What am I?” I found myself asking. “An ornament? A mere accessory for the piece itself? I loved the role reversal. It made me think. It made me feel. It was delightful. Just like a Magritte moment.

Pop on over to http://www.voila.eu.com/  Some beautiful work and lots of inspiration there :)
