fantasy beader

I just found the cutest shop on etsy with the cutest little beaded things :)

It is fantasy beaders shop and she makes little seed beaded earrings in the shape of animals, gumball machines, raggedy anne and andy,skull and cross bones.....you get the idea, I am thinking of buying the gumball machines....

Memories

I am a member of an Australian Beading Forum (www.beadingforum.com.au) and they have a weekly comp for "Year of Jewellery".

This Theme inspired me - I had so many ideas but limited time so I went to my favorite vintage stampings and started making a necklace that told a story of love - precious memories.

Composed of swarovski crystals, czech crystals and vintage brass and copper stampings.  A little bit vintage, almost steam punk.  I love this style.  I use to do heaps of jewellery like this, but seem to be doing more and more seed work nowdays.....

crystal geode pendant

I just uploaded another one of my tutorials - the crystal geode pendant 

Inspired by the inside of thunder eggs or geodes, this wire work pendant is easy to complete and can look completely different depending on the gemstones and crystal combination and the shape you form .

I have even made it with chips instead of rondelles before and it looked stunning.

Mini handbags

Many of those of you who have known me for a while know I am a bit obsessed with handbags......

I have now decided to offer the tutorial on how to make your very own mini handbags to use as phone charms, pendants, dangles for bookmarks, and I even have made a heap of them and added them to a charm bracelet.

Once you get started on these, I am sure you will be addicted!!!

Hearts on Fire

I finished this during the week and finally dragged the camera out to immortalise it on my blog!!!

It is a herringbone necklace with toggle and bail made of swarovski crystal, and of course the beautiful pendant ( that was the inspiration) is from my friend Deb.

I really enjoy doing the circular herringbone weave, and it seems to be quite fashionable in the beading circles at the moment, so i think you will see more in the future :)

Freebie!!

"Sensational Spirals"

I am teaching the sensational spirals this week at Mad Monnies so pop over there if you want to join the class. This is a dutch spial and is quite easy to do but is not completed quickly! For everyone else......The tutorial will be available in about on week up on my etsy store. I like to do the class first and iron out any kinks in the tutorial before I let in loose on the world LOL!! :)
